The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a group of parents and senior staff who work together to support the school community for the benefit of all the children. We do this by raising funds for projects and supporting many of the school’s events. Funds raised by the PTA have gone towards the sports centre, school minibuses, football posts, picnic benches and other smaller and important projects to enhance the school site.
We raise funds through school uniform sales, the 300 Club, the autumn term parents’ quiz evening and other activities – and are always open to new ideas!
The PTA supports many school events. This includes sponsoring prizes for the Awards Evening, and providing refreshments at the Careers Fair, International Business Week, concerts and new parents' evenings.
We are delighted to see new people show interest in becoming part of the PTA and would like to extend a particular welcome to those new to the school. Please do click the contact button below to get in touch.
We meet once or twice a term at the school for one hour, starting at 7pm.

School uniform sales are organised by the PTA from the Uniform Shop situated in the demountable building (green hut) in Bradley, next to the Bradley courts; entry by Croft Avenue gates, off the A24.
The Uniform Team is made up of volunteers who fulfil uniform orders every week during term time, in addition to half-termly uniform sales and the annual new intake uniform sale.
We welcome parents with retail and IT experience joining the team but we are equally happy to provide on the job training. Please note that all volunteers will need a current DBS.
Another way of supporting the PTA Uniform Team is to donate good quality branded second-hand uniform, which we can offer to families for reasonable suggested donations at the sales.
For further information about all uniform matters, please select the PTA Uniform page via the Parent Information section on the school website or alternatively please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org Thank you.
The 300 Club: what is it and how it works
The 300 Club is run by the PTA and, along with the sale of uniform, is the main means of raising funds for the school. We currently have 210 members.
Members are allocated a specific number at a cost of £12.00 per annum per number (payable by standing order or cash). Members can have as many numbers as they wish.
There are two Draws a year held at suitable Ashcombe School events. At each Draw, there are three prizes of £300, £200 and £100.
To join, please complete the application form and return it to:
The 300 Club Treasurer,
c/o The Ashcombe School,
or hand it in via your son/daughter at the Pupil Services Desk.
You are welcome to adjust the amounts on the Standing Order if you would like more numbers allocated to you.
If you would like to join the club (or if you want to double check your membership!), feel free to email me at the email address detailed below. Apologies, but payments cannot be made online at the present time.
Many thanks to all those who have recently signed up and to all our other members. Your support is much appreciated.
