Year 13 - ready for A Levels and Beyond

It’s that time of year – the weather improves (allegedly!), the days lengthen – and exams and farewells are on the horizon.

Friday 10th May 2024 saw The Ashcombe bid an emotional and enthusiastic good luck and goodbye to our Year 13 students.  For many, it was the culmination of seven years at The Ashcombe School and offered some amusing and thoughtful reminders of all they had shared, learnt and experienced together.

With a fancy dress theme for the days leading up to Hawaiian hi jinks, we got used to seeing the students throw themselves into preparations alongside classes.  With a picnic on the lawns and a memory-filled afternoon of good luck messages, achingly cute photographs of students from their Primary School and Year 7 days, and thoughtful speeches from Mr Panting, Mr Blow and Mr Blackband, the day ended on a high.

Good luck to every one of you – we know you will do yourselves and the school proud!
