Serious Swimming!

We took a team of 15 swimmers to the Surrey Schools Gala at the Spectrum in Guildford on Saturday. They have been training incredibly hard and put in such a good performance. Most of the other schools competing are independent schools with their own swimming pools, so our team were very proud to do so well.

Lots of the swimmers managed personal best times and Evie came first in her 100m Backstroke event up against 20 other schools. Chloe came third in her 100m Butterfly event which is such a tough event. Both swimmers did exceptionally well. And when the overall results came through, our Girl's Team came 6th out of 32 schools - a very creditable result.

There were some incredible young swimmers from other schools at the event, three of whom will compete in Serbia in the Swimming World Championships later this year. Our swimmers were hugely impressed to see the performances of these swimmers at this event.

Thanks to Mr Cook (Team Manager) and Ms Jones (Officiating) and Ms Betts who gave up their Saturday to take the team to the gala.
