Good News for Chatterbox

Chatterbox Nursery at The Ashcombe School is a warm and welcoming place, where children are recognised as individuals by the experienced and qualified staff, learn through play, feel secure and have fun. 

And it isn’t just us who think so, Ofsted do too!

In their recent inspection visit, Chatterbox was rated ‘Good’ – not just as an overall rating but in all the areas which Ofsted highlights: Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development and Leadership and Management.  The term-time day nursery has operated in the grounds of The Ashcombe School since 1995 and has developed a wonderful mix of excellent facilities, warm family atmosphere and a commitment to providing high quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The report draws attention to the ‘ambitious and well-sequenced curriculum…designed to support the unique ways that children learn’ and to the happy arrivals and ‘strong and positive relationships with staff who understand their needs’.

With its own secure outdoor area for lots of activity and creative play, bright and stimulating areas for learning and a kind and caring ethos, Chatterbox is a truly positive place for the early years.
