Rules for Vampires - Author Visit

We were delighted to welcome author, Alex Foulkes (creator of the Rules for Vampires series of books for young adults), as part of the events taking place for World Book Day 2024.  Alex held four workshops throughout the day with some budding writers, and enthusiastic conversations emerged around such things as creative writing, vampires and various haunting locations.  She shared some of her publishing secrets and found time to read some of the students’ previous writing and sign their copies of her books.

During the Year 7 assembly Alex gave an engaging presentation on making the most of your passion, be it writing or something else.

And as if that wasn’t enough, she was interviewed after school by two students for an article to go in the school magazine, The Ashcomber, which is published quarterly.

Well done to all the students who were so engaged, and Alex for her energy and enthusiasm.
