Chatterbox Nursery
Chatterbox is a small, welcoming term-time day nursery offering a warm family atmosphere for babies and children from 3 months to 5 years available at a dedicated site within The Ashcombe School, Dorking.
Part of The Ashcombe School since 1995, this offers excellent facilities and colourful surroundings covering the seven areas of learning and with secure outside play space including garden, water play, mud kitchen, balance beams, bikes and ball games.

The Nursery operates for 39 weeks of the year (closed for school and public holidays) from: Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm.
FEET funding and 15 hours FEE funding accepted.
Chatterbox aims to:
- Provide high quality care and education for children.
- Work in partnership with parents to help children learn and develop
- Offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity
Care and activities are guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage Development framework and the Nursery retained its ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted in March 2024. Read the latest Ofsted Report here:
Each child is recognised as an individual by the experienced and qualified staff – and develops, learns through play, communicates, feels secure and has fun!
