Governor Committees & Membership

Committees

In order to carry out our role efficiently and effectively, the detailed work of the Governing Body is undertaken by four committees.  In addition to attending Full Governors’ Meetings, all governors sit on two of these committees.

The committees report back to termly meetings of the Full Governing Body at which broader issues are also discussed and agreed.

Curriculum committee

The Curriculum committee agrees and monitors the curriculum for the Lower School, Upper School and Sixth Form, reviews examination results, and monitors the quality of teaching.

Human Resources and Welfare committee

The Human Resource and Welfare committee deals with pastoral matters relating to students, staff and the wider community.

Finance & General Purposes committee

The Finance & General Purposes committee agrees the budget, monitors receipts, expenditure and deals with buildings, utilities and health and safety matters.
