We are large enough to offer a broad curriculum, extensive enrichment opportunities and a vibrant student community, yet small enough to ensure every student is known as an individual.

Every year we celebrate students achieving places on highly competitive university courses alongside students who join us meeting our minimum entry requirements and leave with the qualifications, confidence and skills needed to progress successfully to higher education, apprenticeships and employment. We are proud of every achievement and every destination.

Education at Ashcombe extends far beyond the classroom. Students benefit from an extensive enrichment and personal development programme that includes leadership opportunities, volunteering, mentoring, sport, Duke of Edinburgh, the Extended Project Qualification and a wide range of student-led activities. Students have also participated in international experiences including visits to Morocco, Romania and Tanzania, developing confidence, resilience and a broader understanding of the world around them. For many students, these experiences prove genuinely life-changing and help shape future aspirations, university choices and career ambitions.

Our careers and destinations programme provides personalised support for university, apprenticeships and employment pathways. Through Pathway Days, work experience, employer encounters, alumni support and our Endeavour Programme, students are encouraged to aim high and make ambitious, informed decisions about their future.
