Since acquiring Language College status in 1998, The Ashcombe has built a reputation for innovation in the field of ICT and the use of digital video in particular. This has been recognised by a number of organisations and individuals and has been recorded in several videos shot for a variety of purposes.

DfES CD-ROM - ICT: It Works
The Department for Education and Skills produced a
set of CD-ROMs entitled 'ICT: It Works'.
The Secondary Schools edition contains several videos in which David Blow
(Senior Deputy) discusses aspects of ICT practice at The Ashcombe School.
Another video shows laptops in use in a Physics lesson and one uses our
innovative Video-on-Demand Modern Language resources to illustrate active
learning by students using ICT.
